Our Privacy Policy

The Faithful Remnant runs the website www.faithful-remnant.org. This page explains, in plain words, what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We ask only for what we need to serve you.

What we collect

When you join: your first and last name, email address and country. If you choose, also your mobile number, how you heard about us, and whether you would like occasional news.
When you write to us: your name, email address and your message.
When you give a gift: your gift is processed by our payment provider, and we never see or keep your card or bank details. We receive your name, email address and the amount, so that we can thank you and keep proper records.
When you visit: like most websites, our site host uses cookies and records basic visit details, such as which pages were viewed and the type of browser used. This keeps the site working and secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use it

To give you your TFR Membership Number and the members’ materials you ask for, including the NFRV Bible and the Theology Masters Curriculum.
To answer your questions and letters.
To send reading reminders by text, only if you gave us your mobile number for that purpose.
To send occasional news, only if you ticked the box asking for it.

What we never do

We never sell, rent, trade or give away your details. We do not show advertising, and we do not let anyone else use your details for their own purposes.

Who else handles it

A few trusted services handle your details only so that they can do a job for us: our website host (Wix), which stores the site and the forms you fill in; our payment provider, for gifts; and the service that sends our emails and text messages. Their computers may be located outside Canada. They may use your details only to provide those services to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you are a member, or for as long as we need them to answer you. If you leave, we delete your details within 30 days, except for gift records, which we keep only as long as the law requires.

Your choices

Every email we send has a link to stop receiving it.
To stop text reminders, reply STOP to any text.
You may ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, or to have them deleted.
You may end your membership at any time.

Fellowship Finder

If you choose to list yourself in Fellowship Finder, the name you choose to show, your town or city, province or state, country, the number in your family and any first names you give for them, and the other details you enter are shown to signed-in members of The Faithful Remnant. Your street address is never asked for or shown. Your email address or phone number is shown only if you choose to show it. A volunteer reviews each listing before it appears. You can ask for your listing to be changed or removed at any time by writing to contact@faithful-remnant.org, and we will do so promptly.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their details. If you believe a child has given us information, please tell us and we will delete it.
