Support Our Work

If you would like to help, you may give in any of the three ways below.

Please read this first. We ask that every gift be a free-will offering, given only by those who can afford it — and only after your own family has saved and set aside its Festival Tithes, including the third-year Tithe for the poor. Those belong to your family’s Holy Day celebrations and to the poor, and they always come first. If a gift here would take anything from them, please do not give; you are just as welcome here. (Our article “Israelite Tithes & Offerings” explains why.)

Every gift is handled as described below: once the bare cost of keeping this site online is met, all of it goes to help people whose need our volunteer correspondents have verified.

Choose where your help goes

  • General support: supports our work as a whole, and is used wherever the need is greatest.
  • Support a cause: goes to one of the causes listed on our Causes We Support page, and is passed on directly to that cause.
  • Give a Bible: pays for a printed copy of our Bible, delivered to someone in need who has asked us for one.

Gifts marked for a cause or a Bible are used only for that purpose.

Give now

Card payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or keep your card or bank details. A thank-you and a record of your gift are sent to your email. If you give monthly, each month’s gift is taken automatically, and the email you receive includes a link to change or stop it.

Giving in Bitcoin

To give in Bitcoin, press the Give in Bitcoin button below. Our giving page opens in a new tab. Type your amount in Canadian dollars. The keypad fills in the cents first, so for $25.00 press 2, 5, 0, 0. Check the amount, then press Charge. A QR code and our Bitcoin address will appear for you to send your gift from your own wallet.

Bitcoin gifts arrive without a name. If you would like a thank-you, or would like your gift to go to a particular purpose, please send us a short note through the Free Inquiries page with the date and amount. Monthly giving is available for card gifts only.

About receipts

The Faithful Remnant is not a registered charity, so we are not able to issue receipts for tax purposes. You will receive a personal thank-you and a record of your gift.

Do you need help yourself?

If you, or someone you know, needs help, an advocate for a cause, or a printed Bible, please tell us through our Free Inquiries page. Every request is read personally and kept private.

How We Steward Your Support

The Faithful Remnant is not a business, and no one draws a salary or a fee from it. Every article, summary, course, and page on this Site — together with whatever rights attach to that content — is looked after on TFR’s behalf by a small group of unpaid volunteer correspondents, acting as de facto trustees rather than owners. Nothing here belongs to any individual; it is held and administered in trust, for the benefit of the Congregation and anyone we are able to help.

That same principle governs everything the Site receives in return. Whatever comes in — whether from Bible or book sales, paid Subscriptions, the Theology Masters Curriculum, donations, or any other form of support (“Receipts”) — is administered the same way, by the same unpaid volunteer correspondents, and never for personal gain.

Here is what that means in practice:

First: all Site content, together with any rights associated with it, and all revenue the Site collects or receives (from sales, memberships, subscriptions, educational programs, donations, or any other support — our “Receipts”), are administered for TFR by these unpaid volunteer correspondents, acting as de facto trustees.

Second: once the direct, out-of-pocket costs of hosting the Web-Site domain are covered, 100% of everything that remains from Receipts — every dollar — is either used, or set aside to be used, for one purpose only: to help deserving individuals or organisations — whether they come to us and request assistance themselves, or someone else requests assistance on their behalf — and in every case, only after our volunteer correspondents have verified the actual need.

Third: our Bible publications are priced as close to cost as the seller will allow — the printed, ebook and audio editions of the Natural Faithful Remnant Version (NFRV). The Theology Masters Curriculum is free to members. We are not making these available in order to profit from them. We are making them available so that anyone who wants them can have them. Our Member Services — the Bible Reading Plans, Bible Stories, Devotional and Inspirational Plans, and Our Daily Newsletter — are free to members. Those who are able may give a freewill offering, guided by what similar services typically charge, and everything above our cost goes to helping people in need, including the causes listed on our Causes We Support page.

The NFRV is the plainest example. Membership of this Site is free, and every member may download the complete 8.5 x 11 PDF and the ebook of every volume at no charge, and always will be able to. For those who would rather hold a printed copy, or read it on a Kindle, the paperback, hardcover and ebook editions are listed on Amazon. Each one is priced only a little above what it costs to produce, and no more.

We should be plain about one thing, because a member who compares the Amazon price against what a book costs to print will see a gap and deserves an explanation. Amazon keeps a share of the price of every book it sells, and sets a minimum price for each book. That minimum sits above the printing cost, so most of what you pay above the cost of the paper and ink is Amazon’s, and never reaches us. What does reach us is a small fee, and not one penny of it is kept by any individual: it is a Receipt like any other and goes to the single purpose set out above.

If it were possible to give the printed volumes away, we would. It is not. What we can do is keep the price as near to the cost as the seller allows, and make certain that the little which does come back to TFR is spent the way everything else is. That is what we have done.

Fourth: if you buy anything directly from this Site — a Subscription, a course, or any other service — you will find a Support option at the checkout. It lets you add an amount of your own choosing to the transaction, and the amount is entirely yours to set. It may be left at nothing, and nothing further will be asked.

We have put it there because our prices are deliberately close to cost, which leaves almost nothing over for the work of helping others — and some who are able may wish to give more. Anything added through that option is a Receipt like any other, and goes where they all go — to help those our correspondents have verified to be in need, once the cost of keeping this Site online is met. It is not a tip, and none of it is kept by anyone here.

One thing we ask of everyone. Whatever you give to TFR — through our giving form, the Support option, or in any other way — we ask that it be a free-will offering, and only if you can afford it after your own family has saved and set aside its Festival Tithes, including the third-year Tithe for the poor. Those come first. We would never want a gift to us to take anything from your family’s celebrations, or from the poor.

This is not new. It continues a practice the volunteers behind TFR have personally carried out since our previous congregation site, for over 25 years now — writing, administering, answering inquiries, and personally directing support to those in need.

No commissions. No management fees. No hidden overhead beyond the bare cost of keeping the Site itself online. If you support TFR in any way, this is where that support goes.

If you have questions about how this works, or would like to request assistance yourself, please visit our Free Inquiries page — we read and answer every question.
